I spent most of last year juggling five production projects. Little by little, I got out from under four of them (one of them is still going). After a hard week, I just realized I’m back up to five again. Four are work-for-hire, but one is one I actually have some agency over for a change.

PROJECT TIM

This one has been off-and-on for a few years. Finally comes out at the end of the month. I’m finishing animated titles and segments for a four-part doc series.

PROJECT STREET

Make-up effects and special effects for a musical comedy horror indie. Today I sculpted a prop “garlic grenade” intended to ward off vampires.

PROJECT FLAT

Editing a documentary, which is slow going so far. So much footage to watch and assess!

PROJECT FOOTBALL

This one I have the least to do with, but I was hired to put together sales materials for the producer, including pitch deck, website, and press release.

PROJECT DOWN

This is a script I’m co-writing, which is a positive experience. Really nailing down structure and the ending before diving in. Good to have a partner to ask story questions with.

Now that I think of it, this week I also had some finishing touches to do on two completed-but-I-guess-not-complete projects, PROJECT FAIRY and PROJECT CLOWN.

All that, and I’m also teaching four days a week. But the end is in sight on a few of these. Looking forward to a lighter load so I can get back to some of my personal films!
