La Brava

by Joel and Ethan Coen, novel by Elmore Leonard
One of the Coens’ few scripts adapted from someone else’s work. The story concerns a kidnapping. Shelved, and probably unavailable to the public.

by James Cameron
James Cameron’s psychological drama is decidedly different from his usual amped-up action movie fare: a smaller story of a criminal with multiple personalities. Due to legal reasons, it was shelved. Read the script review at UGO Screenwriter’s Voice.

Update (3/14/16)

Leonardo Dicaprio is set to produce and star in the film, with a new script by Jason Smilovic and Todd Katzberg, adapting the nonfiction book about Billy Milligan. Read the announcement at the Hollywood Reporter.

by Roger Avary

Avary.com used to have the script and an essay on how it evolved, but it appears to have been taken down.

Oliver Stone turned this one inside out. To this day, Tarantino hasn’t been able to watch the movie all the way through. Me, I like the final product, but I can see how heart-wrenching it could be for the writer.
