I like the Avatar 3D movie, particularly the story line, not only it brings a very new sensation but eye opening ideas of humanity. I heard the New Avatar 2 is comming soon, cannot wait to watch it again...!

[...] I love the gimmicky ones like House of Wax and the subtle ones like Coraline. I’ve seen them from every era: the 50s, 80s, the Imax years, and today.
I pretty much feel the same way. Once I knew Avatar was getting made, I made the decision not to read the scriptment. I'd rather see the movie fresh. Afterward, I'll read the scriptment and see what changed or stayed the same.

Generally, I don't seek out spoilers. I maintain this site for educational use, not to spread rumors or be critical of works in progress. When Cameron's people asked that I take down the scriptment, I was happy to oblige.

I would expect your fan site to be popular even after the movie is released. It sounds like you've got the right attitude.

Thanks Mike, I appreciate the update. The first link worked of course, but I'm trying to encourage the publicized URL instead of the 'behind the curtain' URL.

Anyway, a nice site you got going here and allow me to share a little on that descriptions page. I have been following Avatar with this site a year now, and I have struggled with whether it is ethical to display the scriptment descriptions.

On one hand, I think it creates interest in the film by providing the descriptions for fans to get an idea of the narrative Cameron has created in the grand tradition of 50's-60's classic sci-fi literature. On the other hand, Cameron has expressed displeasure that the scriptment has been leaked online. I have taken the descriptions offline/online numerous time because I teeter if it is ethical for it to be displayed.

Currently I have it displayed because for now, number 1) It is not word-for-word verbatim of the scriptment, and 2) This page is one of the most popular pages of AMZ.

For the moment, I justify its display because it is a stand alone read and it does not reveal a beginning to end narrative.

Whether Avatar is a huge success or it falls flat, there is no doubting one thing.... Any aspect of Cameron re-entering the world of feature film will create intrigue of the highest level..that's an excitement that we haven't seen since the mega-action flicks of the fabulous 80's that he is known for.
